Prenatal Classes
BC Women’s Hospital’s educational program offers a variety of classes including prenatal (series or prenatal-in-a-day), multiples, breastfeeding, and infant care.
Little Buds Prenatals is run by some great obstetrical RNs from BC Women’s Hospital. They offer group and private prenatal classes and also offer TENS machine rentals.

Post-Operative Care
Discharge Instructions for patients who have had surgery at UBCH, VGH and BCWH can be found in the following Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) publications:
- Laparoscopy
Information for patients who have had gynaecologic surgery by laparoscopy ("key-hole surgery").
- Hysteroscopy (with removal of fibroids and/or polyps)
Information for patients who have had fibroids and/or polyps removed through the vagina. This brochure also applies to patients who have had a hysteroscopy and dilatation and curettage or "D&C".
- Abdominal Hysterectomy
Information for patients who have had their uterus (plus or minus tubes and ovaries) removed through an abdominal incision.
- Vaginal Hysterectomy and Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Information for patients who have had their uterus (plus or minus tubes and ovaries) removed vaginally or by laparoscopy ("key-hole surgery").
- Vaginal Hysterectomy with Vaginal Repair
