Dating Ultrasound

All pregnancies (except for IVF) are now dated with the first ultrasound done between 7w0d and 23w6d).

We cannot assign an appointment without a dating scan.

For IVF pregnancies, please include the IVF-clinic summary.

Basic Prenatal Labs

It is extremely helpful if you can order the following routine tests BEFORE the patient’s first appointment.

  1. CBC, group and screen
    (add thalassemia screen if MCV < 80)

  2. Rubella titre

  3. HBsAg

  4. HIV serology

  5. RPR

  6. Urine culture

  7. TSH (optional)

  8. VZV IgG (if no history of chickenpox)

Prenatal Screening

Please indicate if you have already discussed/arranged prenatal genetic screening with your patient or if you wish for us to do so. In the latter case, referrals must be sent in EARLY.

If initiated, indicate which of the following the patient is doing and attach results, if available.

  1. No screening

  2. Quad screen

  3. Serum Integrated Screen (SIPS)

  4. Integrated Prenatal Screen (IPS) = SIPS + NT

  5. NIPT

  6. Amniocentesis
